Kato lifts the trophy in Japan for the Spring Satellite in Kanagawa

The Spring Samukawa Satellite (Japan) took place on April 11, 2026.

Following the group stage, the first semifinal saw Hideki Yoshida (Yokohama OSC) decisively defeat Hideaki Wada (OSC Yamato Wild Blue TFC) 2-0. Solid defensively and efficient offensively, Yoshida controlled the match without any trouble.

On the other side of the bracket, Taichi Kato (Yokohama OSC) also delivered a very convincing performance, dominating Suguru Fujino (Tokyo Sunzeol TFC) by the same score of 2-0. Kato imposed his rhythm from the start of the match, giving his opponent few opportunities.

The quarter-finalists were: Kenzo Koi (Yokohama OSC), Takafumi Tokita (SC Reeds), and the two members of the SHONAN Table Football Club, Aoshi Ishiyama and Tomohiro Ishiyama. Koi and Tokita were eliminated in sudden death, while the Ishiyama brothers lost by scores of 3-1 and 6-1, respectively.

The final pitted two Yokohama OSC players against each other, guaranteeing the Japanese club the title. In this duel, Taichi Kato (Yokohama OSC) prevailed over his teammate Hideki Yoshida (Yokohama OSC) with a 1-0 victory.

In a tight and tactical match, Kato made the difference with a single crucial detail, demonstrating great composure in key moments. Yoshida, despite a strong run, was unable to find a way through.
