NITFA – Northern Ireland Table Football Association is the governing body for Table Football in Northern Ireland.

It aims to provide a platform for everyone interested in Subbuteo, from collectors to competitive players. The Association organises a series of annual events for all levels and welcomes new and experienced players to tournaments, clubs and casual meetings.

At Club Level, Derry City TFC organises a monthly WASPA tournament.

There are also some WASPA events and casual meetings for players in the Ballymena area.

Nationally, NITFA jointly organises the All-Ireland Circuit with TFAI (Rep of Ireland). It consists of 5 WASPA events around Ireland, with players earning points for the Circuit Table and for the WASPA Rankings. The Northern events are usually in Belfast, Ballymena & Derry. In addition to Irish players, they attract several players from the rest of UK.

We also have an annual All-Ireland National Championships, again run jointly with TFAI.

The best placed Northern player is Northern Ireland Champion.

The overall winner is All-Ireland Champion.

There have been FISTF Grand Prix and International Opens in Belfast, Bangor and, most recently in Derry 2022. Due to its success, Derry City TFC plan to host their event annually going forward.

Northern Ireland participated in the FISTF World Cups of England 2002, Belgium 2005 & Germany 2006 and will be sending a Team to Rome 2022.

Promotional work is done via the Website, Twitter, Facebook, ‘Watsie’s Subbuteo Show’ and Newspaper articles:
