Peter Thomas (Melbourne TFC) claimed his third Australian Grand Prix title with a determined 1-0 win against Eliot Kennedy (Northern Falcons TFC) at the Melbourne Ultra Football venue.
The event was the first Australian Grand Prix since return to play after the COVID pandemic, with 26 players from Australia, Singapore, USA and New Zealand competing.
Peter conceded only one goal in his six matches.
New Zealand’s Richard Edeson was making his international debut, with a plan to develop the game in New Zealand based around the club in Auckland.
Melbourne TFC won the teams event, ahead of Northern Falcons TFC.
Special mention to Bryan Arnold of the USA who was on a loan transfer for the Northern Phoenix and played in the teams event.
