On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women of our sport, both on the pitch and behind the scenes, providing support to our members and assisting with the organising of events.
We also acknowledge that more needs to be done to bring women and girls into our sport.
FISTF also announces we will begin a process of changing our language and will gradually phase out the expression ‘Ladies’ referring to events with ‘Women’.
This is in line with the practice of most international sports federations as a more modern, contemporary expression.
