Dimopoulos claims Major of Athens (UPDATED)

Dimitrios Dimopoulos (Proteas Athens/GRE) claimed the last Major of the season when he overcame Bessim Golger (Bornla DC/BEL) 3-2 in the Open final. They had earlier beaten respectively Kaspar Bennett (ENG) and Georgios Vlassopoulos (Proteas/GRE) in the semi finals, 3-1 and 2-1.

Gerardo Patruno (Bologna Tigers/ITA) took the Veterans event, beating Periklis Dimopoulos (Proteas/GRE)  4-3 in sudden death extra time.

Semi finalists were Jason Pisan (MLT)  and Antonios Kastellanos  (Olymoia/GRE)


Portugal’s Carolina Villarigues (Dragons) took the women’s event, beating Eleftheria Papanikolaou (Glyfada/GRE) 4-0.

Panagiotis Skouros (Roligans/GRE) won the U16, beating Kostandinos Tsangouris (Lions Eugies/BEL) 4-1.

Athanasios Kotrotsos (Roligans/GRE) beat Nikolaos Georganoudis (Scarlet Battalion/GRE) in the U12 final 2-1.

Falcons Athens claimed the team event in a tight final against Bormla SC, winning on goals 2-1 after matches were level 1-1.
