Ciccarelli and Scheen claim wins at the Double International Open of Prignac.

Prignac and Marcamp during the weekend of 7 & 8 February 2026, became the international subbuteo hotspot for the third time, hosting two international open tournaments. Football de Table Aquitaine had organised the first two competitions on its own, and now it was the turn of Union Subbuteo Prignac-Puylaurens to take up the challenge, knowing that the stakes were high and that they would have to give their all to do better, or at least as well.
Our goal was to organise a flawless competition in terms of both logistics and planning.
Our Union provided eight high-quality tables, all equipped with Extremepitch mats. On the logistical side, our president Nicolas Morier set out to find sponsors and high-quality food. In terms of planning, the GMFT software created and updated by Roger Trouillard enabled us to run a flawless competition in accordance with the rules. Communication was carried out via our website (https://uspp.web4me.fr) and our Facebook page.

All the ingredients were there for an excellent weekend, and that’s exactly what we got.
The competitors were ready to go on Saturday. We innovated by forming four groups of six players, creating a mini-championship before moving on to the quarter-finals. There was not a word out of place, a great deal of respect between the competitors and the referees, and the schedule was adhered to. What more could we have hoped for as organisers? Everyone was smiling, and we had succeeded in our endeavour! In sporting terms, there were a few surprises. The final was between Andrea Ciccarelli and David Leroy, with our Italian friend coming out on top.
Saturday ended with an awards ceremony hosted by the Mayor of Prignac and Marcamp, who has honoured our small ceremony with his presence. This was followed by the traditional meal, where everyone will gather around the table to share a moment of camaraderie and put the world to rights, always in good spirits and with a smile. Sharing and conviviality are our hallmarks, and we can already announce that the meal is on the programme for our 2027 tournament. Some players took part in a group meal after a tournament for the first time and really enjoyed it!

On Sunday, we returned to a more traditional format so that everyone could get home at a reasonable hour. Like the day before, everything went smoothly. We should note the superb performance of Hervé Rakowski, who reached the semi-finals by eliminating David Leroy, one of the favourites, in the quarter-finals. The final was between Sébastien Scheen and Andréa Cicarrelli. Sébastien ended up victor in what was a tense but fair match!

A BIG THANK YOU to all the competitors who came from Brittany, the Paris region, Forez, eastern France, southern France, and even Belgium! A HUGE THANK YOU to all the volunteers who came with smiles on their faces and gave their time to make this weekend a real human and sporting success.

All the results are available on our website https://www.uspp.web4me.fr/Competition/2026/IO-USPP-2026/
We are pleased to announce that we are bidding to host another international competition in 2027 and we hope to see even more of you there. Mark your calendars now. See you soon!
