2017-12#01 – Voting for Secretary

Dear Gentlemen of the FISTF Board of Directors, Dear Sportsfriends, FISTF Community and presidents,

Mr. Horst DeimeI applies for „General Secretary“ of the FISTF BoD. In the following passage you will learn my proposals to better the communication of FISTF. The internal management and communication flow will see a „face lift“, and the entire FISTF image will rise.

Communication:

What is the motivation of Mr. Horst Deimel?

My motivation results from a perceived lack of communication from the FISTF Board and its entire Member Nations world wide. I believe the Sports Table Football Community has been distracted, irritated, ill-informed, and even angry about what it perceives and actually happened inside and outside FISTF, as well as its activity in the recent years. I may say, innovation is asked.
What is needed is a proactive project list – a well defined To-Do-List. Working with the various
departments / commissions / development of FISTF. The general secretary would help develop this
list of pre-active communication.

The „General Secretary“

The General Secretary, in cooperation with the Communication Director, needs to communicate information / solutions / ideas / projects / evolution to the FISTF Nations within his responsibility (sub-department team) for the entire BoD. All written data leaving the FISTF BoD needs to be double checked by the FISTF Communication Director, so that mistakes or misinformation can be avoided. Avoiding mistakes will lead to a better FISTF, and improve the image of the federation.

Proposed initiatives:

Facebook:

The new platform has been created for the Domestic national presidents, so that the presidents can communicate directly with each other, so that information can be exchanged and data / ideas / projects do not get lost, allowing improvements for FISTF and its needs. Here the Projects can be first presented, and then developed with debate / discussion and solution finding. Then the project issue must lead to a final solution to vote on.

WhatsAPP:

The WhatsApp FISTF BoD group has been installed to communicate fast, ask Board members for opinion or fast decision taking within a short time. This can be an additional tool for good communication. FISTF Board only..

Skype or FB :

FB (Skype) meetings have be re-installed and are extremely important and essential for the FISTF BoD meetings for coordination talks, decision taking and internal voting on resolutions / issues / projects / budgets / costs / and so forth!
Every 3-6 weeks a FB (Skype) board meeting will be held, so that the running problems / updates / project standings can be discussed and possible running decisions to be mastered.

The General Secretary will issue the protocol of these meetings, including the agreed / voted issues in such words that all cultures (Europe, Asia/Oceania, Africa and Americas) understand the written and its stipulated votes.

Avoiding misunderstandings in texting is essential!

The standard protocol wording will be made from the general secretary and communication director together in partnership, so that only the necessary new data are to be added / corrected / updated in upcoming written board meeting protocols for the coming 4 year period 2017/18 – 2020/2021, as well as handing over all works to the new STF generation.

The voting on Thematic / issues / projects / resolution / motions and news will be sent to all FISTF member presidents and their national Boards – and NOT to e.g. 22.000 single players (E-Mails). The webpage will release the data later, after the presidents (first hand / pre-info) received the information of Board protocols (minutes). Release to the media to be given ‘green light’ only from the General Secretary /  Communication Director and his possible department supporters / helpers.

FISTF Internet Voting pole (F-IVP):

World wide Internet Voting Poll for all Member Nations (Presidents only, or a written confirmed person which speaks English), so that FISTF can vote on important issues and NOT wait prolonged periods for final results, adaption’s and to overcome a hindering situation more efficient and faster.

A yearly (or 2-3x) Internet voting polls can be opened (within a (EOC) Congress or General Meeting) needs to be introduced and can be managed, to receive LEGAL status on adaption’s / decisions / projects /resolutions and motions.
FISTF will grow, so FISTF needs to adapt immediately and prepare for upcoming challenges (New Member Nations, Logistic, Organization, Events, Sponsors, Confederations)

The „one man“ decision taking in departments need to end. To justify the decisions to the STF community world wide, the internet voting poll system has been installed on the www.fistf.com website. That is the biggest democratic INNOVATION for FISTF ever.

A direct voting on www.fistf.com (with code / password for presidents to enter) should be preferred. Each nation has one vote only. The registration to a database (already installed) for each FISTF nation will be obligatory to vote.

This must become a FAST adaption within FISTF and the BoD, otherwise we will never get ahead and with voting polls. We need the democratic votings to have the LEGAL backup of all nations what we PROPOSE (Suggest) or what the entire community needs / wishes / preferes.

DETRACTORS (critics) will only be silenced if we do take action with a voting poll.

World wide critics / non satisfaction:

We need to show all member nations what FISTF can do, what must be handled, changed and/or adapted as a FISTF unit. The BoD needs to show a stronger face to the outside.

Projects:

Open communication and information release needs to be done, then we take „OIL out of the FIRE“, off negative FISTF image.

The nations need to be invited and informed what is going on inside FISTF, and that must be communicated in written, with courtesy and good sense. Information release will only be done through the General Secretary / Communication Director, to ensure a consistent message. All official decisions (based on the written suggestions) are to be made through the entire BoD members and not single persons.

Wikipedia and History:

Historical data need an update and verification. Journalists need to be able to read for there research work about what FISTF is! That is a fact which is not taken seriously enough.

The Hall of Fame must be on the webpage for everyone to read.
All results need to be archived as done before.
The heritage of FISTF (and all the entire history from 1925/1929 onwards) and all its data must be a standard for everyone to understand Sports Table Football. We should not underestimate this fact.

FISTF Marketing and promotion department need DATA for information and show what FISTF is.
The FISTF image needs a strong correction in several directions.

Abbreviation list:

A FISTF abbreviation list will be introduced, so that we all understand the meanings of abbreviations within FISTF communication. Many of us, do not know certain abbreviations and for what there meaning is.

FISTF Forms:

A FISTF forms will be overworked and updated. New forms will need to be introduced such as the Finance report for all nations (Multi-Lingual), Disciplinary applications/forms. Referee forms for application for new Referee board (Sport..!). etc.. // FISTF standards for SPORT need an introduction.

FISTF Organigramm:

The Organigramm (organization chart) of the entire FISTF organization, I structured some years ago, should / must be updated with the new BoD 2018-2021 and its subsidiary departments, so that FISTF can verify its real standing of resolved issues / project and facts.
It will show how FISTF is actually structured with persons, or need to be structured or correction of structure. The subsidiary departments who take care of problems/projects/rules can be over seen more easy. Communication flow chart will see where the information must flow and distributed.

The subsidiary departments (Sports/Communication/Development/Finance) must FIND the channels to communicate and coordinate situations. The INTERNAL NETWORK must come to a good work – then FISTF can motivate more specialized people to support us in several sub-departments to handle every kind of targets.

Gentlemen:

We need to motivate the FISTF community world wide to support & help, and to negate the critics.

So lets:

THINK first // then handle and act

ASK National Presidents // invite them to the evolution for Sport.

VARIFY and debate well // delete personal issues, stay focused on the thematic.

CREATE good solutions // double think!

DECIDE Vote on issue // written Legalizations will bring confidence to members.

INFORM Communicate // with well written words.
