Preamble
Proposal: To authorise the Board to make changes to the FISTF Statutes, as outlined below, to take effect immediately following the 2024 Congress.
Background:
The FISTF Statutes can only be changed at a FISTF Congress or Extraordinary Congress. It is established practice to review the Statutes prior to each Congress to determine whether amendments are required.
The Board has reviewed the Statutes and is proposing the following changes, many of which are a result of discussions and decisions made at the 2023 AGM.
i) Article 25 – amendments to include references to the World Cup Handbook and Tournament Organisers‘ Handbook, and to remove duplication with the Official Handbook
Article 25 of the Statutes sets out some basic provisions relating to the organisation of international competititions.
For the sake of both completeness and to remove duplication, amendments are proposed to:
-
- include references to the World Cup Handbook (Article 25.2) and Tournament Organisers‘ Handbook (new Articles 25.3 and 25.6), and
- remove duplication with the Official Handbook by deleting existing Articles 25.3 and 25.4.
Please see the drafted revised Statutes at Attachment A for details of the proposed amendments.
