2024-12 – AGM 2024 – Resolution 1j – to include reference to equipment regulations

Preamble

Proposal: To authorise the Board to make changes to the FISTF Statutes, as outlined below, to take effect immediately following the 2024 Congress.

Background:

The FISTF Statutes can only be changed at a FISTF Congress or Extraordinary Congress. It is established practice to review the Statutes prior to each Congress to determine whether amendments are required.
The Board has reviewed the Statutes and is proposing the following changes, many of which are a result of discussions and decisions made at the 2023 AGM.

j) Article 27 – amend to include reference to equipment regulations as approved by FISTF and to reflect creation of the Rules and Referees Committee

Article 27 currently sets out some very general obligations on MNAs to apply the sports rules, as well as responsibility for drafting of the rules.

It is proposed to amend Article 27 to:

• • expand the general obligations on MNAs to include the equipment regulations as approved by FISTF; and
  • reflect the creation of the independent Rules and Referees Committee.
