2.3.9(e) – Proposal to delete the provision for an extended transfer period

In the Handbook for the 2024-25 season, a new „extended transfer period“ provision was added at 2.3.9(e) (a) to allow players who had not played in any individual or team FISTF tournaments in the 2024-25 season to transfer until 31 December 2024.

This was done in response to requests for such transfers during the previous season and to allow some additional flexibility.  Unfortunately, in practice this change has led to many more transfer requests than expected after the normal 31 August transfer period deadline – practically there has been no transfer period. And above all, there is no protection for the clubs. All players are now effectively free to choose their clubs till the end of December.

Abstention is not a cast vote (it was voted but will not be considered in the final results)
