2024-12 – AGM 2024 – Resolution 3f – changes to the Official Handbook – Proposal to amend the requirement where an individual enters more than one category for which a levy is payable

Preamble

Topic: Other proposed changes to the Official Handbook

Background:

  1. 5.3(b) – Proposal to amend the requirement where an individual enters more than one category for which a levy is payable (Open, Veterans, U20), so that the player is only charged once by both the MNA/tournament organiser and FISTF

In some tournaments, players have the right  to play in two categories. It happens when the event itself fails to provide enough players in a category. Very often, it happens with women and young players. They shouldn’t be financially penalised. It is proposed to amend Article 2.5.3(b) so that:

    • Organisers should not have the right to make a player pay two registrations.
    • FISTF only requires should not make the tournament organisers to pay taxes twice as it is now.
