FISTF World Cup 2028 – Final Host Candidate Shortlist and Voting
Following the completion of the formal tender process for the FISTF World Cup 2028, the FISTF Board has conducted a comprehensive evaluation of bids received from Belgium, Italy, Malta and Spain.

The Board has identified the following two candidates as the final shortlist to be presented for Member vote:

- Belgium
- Spain
These two proposals were assessed as offering the strongest overall combination of:
- delivery capability and organisational credibility
- accessibility for participating nations
- capacity to support a World Cup at scale
- alignment with the future development and international profile of the event
The Board considers that both candidates represent strong and viable options for 2028, each aligned with different but complementary strategic priorities for the sport.
