FISTF’s Board of Directors met during the week for the first time since the Congress and elections, and farewelled three members who stepped down from their positions, and welcomed three newcomers.
Horst Deimel (Austria) relinquished his position as General Secretary, after being elected in 2017. Horst brought incredible passion and organisational structure to FISTF, and his efforts have been widely applauded and appreciated.
He will be replaced by Francesco Lo Presti (Italy). Unfortunately, in a sign of the times, Francesco, who is a doctor, was unable to join the on-line board meeting, as he was required to work in the burgeoning COVID related crisis in his hospital. We look forward to his commitment to our sport.
Table football veteran Stefano De Francesco (Italy) also stepped down from his role as Development Director, to be replaced by Jurgen Balzan (Malta).
Adrianos Dervis (Greece) was replaced on the Board by Mike Sgro (Canada).
We wish all past members the best, and look forward to the new members working for the benefit of our sport.
