Antonio Casin, Antonio Montano, Cristian Antunes, Gonzalo Reguera Muñoz and Tiburones FM won Gibraltar Grand Prix

The Gibraltar Grand Prix took place on March 14 and 15, 2026, bringing together, to our delight, 14 U12 players.

Here are the results for each category.

Open category
In the final, Antonio Jesús Casín (F.Lli Bari Reggio Emilia/ESP) defeated the number 3 seed, local player John Field (Tiburones FM/GIB), to win the tournament after showcasing his full range of talent by scoring at least five goals in every match since the quarterfinals. He confirmed his status as the favorite in this competition by winning the final 6-3.

The semifinalists were the young Spaniard Cristian Antúnez (Tiburones FM/ESP) and the former French legend, Lionel Abecassis.

Veterans category

John Field (Tiburones FM/GIB) faced off again, this time against his teammate and former world number one veterans player, Antonio Montano (Tiburones FM/ESP). Montano lifted the winner’s trophy after a spectacular 5-2 victory.

The semi-finalists were the experienced Patrick Dean (Europa FC TSC/GIB) and, once again, Frenchman Lionel Abecassis, who, in a return to the top flight, managed to reach the semi-finals in two categories.

U20 category

Cristian Antúnez (Tiburones FM/ESP) claimed the title and confirmed his progress by defeating his clubmate, Manuel Baena (Tiburones FM/ESP), with a decisive 4-1 victory.

The semi-finalists were Andrés Puerto (AC Los Remedios FM/ESP) and Álvaro Pérez (Tiburones FM/ESP).

U12 category

Fourteen young players were registered, which is very promising for the future. Thirteen came from AC Los Remedios FM and one from FM La Plazoleta.

It was the latter, Gonzalo Reguera Muñoz (FM La Plazoleta/ESP), who won the competition against Antonio Antúnez (Tiburones FM/ESP).

The semi-finalists were Álvaro Castellano Rodríguez and Antonio Castro Otero, both from AC Los Remedios FM.

Team competition

In the team competition, the top-ranked team, Tiburones FM, joined the local club in the final. The Spanish team won decisively, 3-1. Both FM La Plazoleta teams reached the semi-finals but ultimately had to concede defeat to the two finalists.
