Nic Tan co-opted as Finance Director

The FISTF Board has confirmed the co-opting of Singapore’s Mr Nicodemus ‘Nic’ Tan (SGP0076) to the FISTF Board in the position of Finance Director until the 2024 Congress.

Since the death of Fred Vulpes, the FISTF Board has been working to cover the various responsibilities of the Finance Director and searching for a replacement.
Nic had reached out to be involved with the board and agreed to take the Finance role after discussion with President Steve Dettre.

Nic has been involved in finance-related work for more than 15 years.
He started his career in the Singapore Government’s Ministry of Finance in various portfolios in fiscal policy like the capital restructuring of government statutory bodies, fees and charges, preparation of the Government’s fiscal budget, and other areas like strategic planning.

In the past 7 years or so, he has been in the private sector in the area of regulatory development and policy in the Singapore Exchange, specifically in the securities, derivatives, and fixed income markets that the exchange operates.
While he played Subbuteo as a child, he learned how to play the game formally only in 2013. Not long after, he became a member of both the EXCO of the Table Football Association of Singapore (“TFAS”) as both Assistant Treasurer and Director (Rules) and the organising committee of his former club, Jurong Central Subbuteo Club. He stepped down from both positions in 2019. Recently this year, he re-joined the EXCO of TFAS again as Treasurer and Chief Referee.

His current club is the Subbuteo Club Dragons Hong Kong.
He also co-runs the Imagio Sports Table Football Academy in Singapore, a training academy dedicated to teaching and developing Sports Table Football in Singapore.

Nic will take up his position ASAP.
