FISTF World Cup to be live streamed

The FISTF World Cup will have live streaming available on the FISTF World Cup Facebook page on Saturday and Sunday, 1-2 September.
Please let your clubmates, friends and family know.
The technical solution for the streaming will be provided by Hammonds Ltd, with overhead and table level cameras, mounted on a structure with lighting.

All notifications will be through the Facebook page FISTF World Cup, where an event has been created.
The World Cup organising committee and FISTF will also provide official results through the FISTF Website: http://www.fistf.com/WorldCup/2018/
A small reporting and photo team will also ensure ‘flash results’, ‘flash quotes’ from players, photos of the action, and short interviews will be posted on the website, Facebook, twitter and Instagram.

Australian season comes to a close – now to the World Cup

The Australian table football season came to a close with the Perth International Open last weekend.
The ATFA did a nice graphic and summary on their website.

Australia will have a five man team at the FISTF World Cup, with a team in the Open category for the first time since the inaugural World Cup in Paris 1994.

Final entries released for the FISTF World Cup 2018 Gibraltar

FISTF has released the final entries for the FISTF World Cup 2018 Gibraltar: ”

A total of 64 players will contest both the Open and Veterans categories, with 23 in Ladies, 20 in U19, 22 in U15 and 28 in U12.
In the national team event, 15 will play in the Opens, 9 in Veterans, 4 in Ladies, 3 in U19, 3 in U15 and 5 in U12.

Action across two Continents this weekend

Action will take place across two continents this weekend, with the Grand Prix of Yokohama in Japan, and the Open of Mattersburg in Austria, and the Satellite of Sassoeiros in Portugal.

Rule 1.1.2. Playing figures may not be knocked, pushed, nudged or scraped along, nor may any leverage or even support be gained other than from the playing surface. The flicked playing figure shall instantaneously leave the nail of the used finger. The player’s hand and lower forearm may not move during the flick.

Deadline extended for entry to the FISTF World Cup

FISTF has decided to extend the entry deadline for the World Cup in the light of delayed notification of the entry process.
All member associations are requested to return their entry form by midnight, Sunday, July 15 (CET).
After that date, the substitutes will be confirmed and declared registered to national associations by July 22.
All other Form 40s received after July 15 will be processed considering positions available in each category.
Players should contact their own associations regarding qualification processes for their own national team.
